A friend of mine knew a glassblower working at Nuutajärvi glass village, Finland. Without any previous experience of glass blowing we decided to head over with our wooden molds in a car trunk one Autumn weekend. It was a classic example of having an idea and testing it out just to realize that it didin't quite work out as expected but gaining loads of knowledge and getting new ideas along the way. We worked all weekend trough in the workshop with our glassblower. It was fast paced and exiting, a manifestation of hand labor and process of making - an intuitive way of working that gives a sense of freedom.
